PELVIC FLOOR THERAPY FOR MEN

Do you have leaking after prostate surgery?

Specializing in Prostate Surgery
Preparation and Rehabilitation

Core Functional Wellness specializes in working with men to regain their urinary control after prostate surgery. Unfortunately, incontinence is a frequent byproduct of prostate surgery.  Core Functional Wellness offers customized programs to prepare you for surgery and help you regain your bladder control after surgery.  Research shows that 75% of men can attain full bladder control 12 weeks after prostatectomy by participating in pelvic floor therapy and committing to doing their daily exercises. Clinically, we find that patients who start their pelvic floor therapy before surgery, get a head start on their exercises and recover function faster post-surgically.  We use specialized rehabilitative ultrasound and sEMG (Surface Electromyographic) biofeedback to teach men how to correctly engage and strengthen the specific pelvic floor muscles that control leaks.
